Terence Ball

Founder

Terence Ball started his career in the furniture-making industry at the tender age of 16, joining forces with his father, William Ball, who had trained as a master carpenter, learning his trade in the British Army Royal Engineers. Together they started a business venture making furniture and cabinets from their home.

Throughout the years that followed, Terence and William began to receive requests for their services. It was during this time that Terence realised his passion for crafting and designing bespoke kitchens. Now, more than 50 years after Terence Ball first began, the name is synonymous with exquisite, hand-crafted British kitchens, and Terence remains an integral part of the business.

Michael Ball

Managing Director & Head of Operations

Michael joined the Royal Marines at the age of 18, following in the footsteps of his grandfather, William Ball. He completed two active tours of Afghanistan and multiple other overseas deployments where he trained as a ski and a cold weather warfare instructor.

Sharing his family’s passion for woodwork and carpentry, Michael left the Royal Marines in 2012 after nine years, to join the family business. He has since become the Head of Operations and Managing Director of the business and continues as one of Terence Ball’s lead interior designers and project managers, working closely with clients to help them create the home of their dreams.

When he is not in the office, Michael is a keen polo player and an avid skier.

Jonathan Ball

Commercial Director and Head of Trade & Contract

Jon joined the family business in 2003 as a full-time account manager, alongside his grandfather William Ball. With kitchen manufacturing in his blood, Jon has built up a phenomenal knowledge of the industry, having spent almost 20 years with Terence Ball Kitchens. This wealth of experience and knowledge enables Jon to guide his clients on their journey to creating their dream home.

Jon is also responsible for Terence Ball’s commercial and trade client base. When he is not in the office, Jon can be found on the golf course where he plays to a competitive level, representing Somerset.
